Ocean City From the South

In 1970, I took a $30 used camera on a $5 airplane ride and made my first aerial photographs of Ocean City MD. In 1972, I took a more expensive camera (about $200) on a longer ride , and photographed Ocean City from the Ocean City Inlet to the Maryland / Delaware state line.

In July, I photographed Ocean City for the 38th time from one end to the other, and for the first time, I am making the photographs available on-line. The high resolution digital images have more detail and richness than ever available in the age of film. Place your cursor on any of the 3 images on this page and you will see the quality of the detail available when the images is printed 4 feet wide.

In contrast to the Ocean City Coast, the Delaware Coastline from Fenwick Island to the Indian River Inlet is dominated by single family homes and small multi-unit structures, interrupted occasionally by larger complexes like Fenwick Towers, and sea Colony, and several tracts of State Parks, preserving dunes and beach front from development

With seemingly unending activity to the South and a very lay-back feel to the North, you might wonder which is better. I guess that depends on where you own property or vacation.
